Palm Sunday: The Sunday of the Passion – 13 April 2025

Dearly Beloved Franciscans,
As we celebrate the joy of Palm Sunday this weekend we also hold the tension of the Passion of our Lord Jesus as our main reading for Sunday. This reflects so much the tension of our daily lives: pain in the midst of great joy, and joy in the midst of great suffering. In the tension of extremes and of a multi-emotions at any given time, it is good to have God as our stabilizer and anchor. We have the blessing of being in relationship with a God who resonates deeply with our human experience. Just as the Divine continues to be an active participant in all of life, may we choose actively to participate in Jesus’ Holy Week experience and Easter resurrection.
