Transfiguration Sunday, 2 March 2025

Dearly Beloved Franciscans,
On Sunday, after our Service, we shall be holding our annual Family Meeting, which we more formally call our “Vestry”. This is a special opportunity to reflect on how we’ve lived out our Gospel mandate as a family-in- Christ. We take stock of the resources with which God has blessed us and we examine how wisely we’ve been custodians of these for the blessing for the sake and benefit of others.
We endeavour to listen to God’s vision for us in this fresh year. Underlying all of this, we have to ask the salient question : If St Francis of Assisi no longer existed would the community be the poorer for our absence? My answer is “YES”!
If you cannot physically be present at Vestry, please pray for the meeting. May all the proceedings and results be an honouring of God and an embodiment of family love.
