Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost – 18 August 2024

Dearly Beloved Franciscans.

“The hiddenness of God” is sometimes a phrase used by mystics when speaking about God at work “underground”, or in a way in which is “invisible” to the naked human eye, or not overtly visible in the public domain. It is a notable reminder to us that just because we can’t explicitly see God at work doesn’t mean that God isn’t. This is a truth of our faith which at times can be rather unpalatable and yet it is part of what trust in God looks like. We won’t always see how our compassion is used by God to touch and transform lives, but we can have confidence that this will be the case because God is deeply vested in any expression of authentic compassion.

We welcome all who are present with us on Sunday at our hybrid Service. Herewith the link for those who are joining us through our livestreaming: https://www.youtube.com/@st.francisanglicanchurchpa946.
