Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost – 11 August 2024

Dearly Beloved Franciscans

As we continue this Month of Compassion with a particular focus on women this Sunday because of National Women’s Day on Friday, I cannot but wonder what impact what impact gender based violence has had on the soul of this nation?  As Christians, we know that whomever we harm is actually a harming of ourselves because we are all extensions of one another, spiritually and scientifically, as our photons constantly intermingle with each other.  May we once again take to heart the embodied manifestation of our faith in how we treat every person and all people as unequivocably beloved. This is part of Christ’s Light which will draw others to him.   So we savour the goodness of being together at Sunday morning’s Eucharist online and in person.
