Ninth Sunday after Pentecost – 21 July 2024

Dearly Beloved Franciscans,

In our Collect for Sunday we read “…give us the stillness that restores our spirits…”. I suspect that most of us resonate with this yearning. Stillness presupposes the cessation of movement and a quietening of our busy minds. There’s no doubt that when we do carve out moments in which we invite God to and are receptive to God’s movement of centering us in a deeply breathing stillness, something is restored and re-aligned in our spirit, in our soul.
May we be faithful to this essential part of the abundance of life in Christ.
