Church Inclusive: Fourteenth Sunday After Pentecost, 3 September 2023

Dearely Beloved Franciscans, what horror filled our hearts and minds at the deathtoll arising out of the burning of the condemmed building in central Jo’burg in the early hours of Thursday.

I can’t begin to imagine what level of desperation drove people to living in an overcrowded, dangerous building with no sanitation & no water. There are still so many people in our world whose hardship & suffering remains untold.  

What can we do in the face of the enormity of nationsl and global suffering?

Can we *say* and *do* at least 1 kind thing to a stranger every day. Since we do not know their curcumstances, this may be just what this person needs in order to keep on believing in hope.
