EDUCATION SUNDAY: This morning we welcome Revd. Roger Cameron, former Head Master at St John’s College as our guest preacher. At the 09:30 service we also welcome Vuleka Parkview along with their staff Claire Shepard, Matlakala Mokgatlhane,

Caroline Mudau and Thabisile Buthelezi, their students and their families.

JOINT THANKSGIVING SERVICE SUNDAY FEBRUARY 12 AT 08:30: The 90th Anniversary Year of the Parish will be launched with a service thanking God for the past 90 years. Please be sure to invite former parishioners and friends to join us as we celebrate God’s work in and through St Francis, Parkview. At this service several people representing different eras of St Francis’s history will share something of what God has done in their lives through St Francis. At the time of prayer we are inviting members of the congregation to give thanks to God for what they are grateful for. We ask that you prayerfully prepare for this time and that you come prepared to offer a short pray of thanks.

PARK VIEWS 9 FEBRUARY: This is the 100th Park View that Bart Cox has organized over the last 10 years. We will celebrate this with a wine tasting from Glen Carlou. Bookings are essential with Bart Cox 083 755 1655 or bartcox100@gmail.com

CHORAL EVENSONG 12 FEBRUARY: Unfortunately this has had to be cancelled.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES: These will be starting on 12 February after the 09:30 service. If you are turning 16 or older and want to be confirmed, please chat to our Youth Pastor

PARK VIEWS 16 FEBRUARY:  at 18:00, Advocate Paul Hoffman will talk on “Establishing an Integrity Commission to Combat Corruption in SA Today”.

JAEI AGM AND FELLOWSHIP MORNING: Saturday 18 February at 08:30 till 12:00.

The Ven. Reg Gersbach will be speaking on “Uniting Spiritual with Action in the Care of Creation.” Please RSVP to Noeleen Mullett on noeleen@jaei.org.za by 14 February should you wish to attend.

BAROQUE POPS CONCERT: On Sunday 19 February at 15:00 at St Francis. The Johannesburg Apple Green Orchestra, conducted by Tim Roberts, will perform a concert of baroque music including works by Vivaladi, Bach, Corelli and Handel.

SHROVE TUESDAY: Come join us for an evening of pancakes on Tuesday 28 February at 18:00 in the Ellis Herbert Hall. All are welcome.

ASH WEDNESDAY: We begin our Lenten Journey on Ash Wednesday 1 March. You are warmly invited to come to one of the three Eucharist’s, 07:00, 09:30 or 19:00, to receive the imposition of ashes.

VESTRY: Our annual Vestry Meeting will be taking place on 12 March at 11:00. The notice and agenda has been posted at the back of church and on our notice boards.
