St Francis e Letter 16th November 2014
Dedicated Giving Sunday is this Sunday 16th November – You can’t out give God!
DG Sunday is this Sunday. Please bring with you your pledge and continue to pray that as a church we may meet our needs for the coming year. DG Pledge forms are available at the church. Because of the 94.7 Cycle Rally we will also use next Sunday 23 November to bless the pledges. Please bring the completed form back with you this Sunday or the 23rd November, so that we can bless your commitment and celebrate the gifts God gives us.

Request From Simon Ridgeway
Dear JSA fellowship, Some month ago, I sent out a request amongst our members, asking if there was anyone who required a property manager, for the period of November, December, or for a more permanent position, as it now transpires is necessary. I am sending this email, in prayerful hope, that someone within our congregations may be looking for a more permanent position to be filled. My circumstances have necessitated a very drastic revisit of employment and financial requisites. I am hoping that someone may have a need for this position to be filled, temporarily, or on a longer term basis.
God Bless you, Simon Paul +27(0)791977493
Evensong:
On Sunday the 16th of November at 6pm, Organist Kevin Kraak and his selected choristers will sing a truly beautiful evensong at St Francis, Parkview.
This is an act of worship and serves to help us end one week and start another on a beautiful inspirational note. Don’t miss it.
ART on Saturdays:
The next Art on Saturdays will be in the new year. Please phone the parish office for more information 011 646-2660.
Kerbside Garden:
Please look at the notice board for a list of things and involvements that would be helpful in bringing the project to fruition e.g. being on a roster to look after the garden, providing seeds or equipment etc. For more information contact Simon Ridgeway.
Bicycle and Cooler Boxes
I have had a request for a bicycle. Over the last year several people have asked me for bicycles so that they could be employed to deliver newspapers. This has worked well and there are three people who are successfully earning incomes. If there is another bicycle out there doing nothing please consider passing it on to me to pass on to Bongani.
I also have a need for a cooler box for some one who would like to sell food on the side of the road. If you have one that you have no further use of please bring it to the church.
JSA Operation Relief
Operation Relief is an ecumenical programme which provides weekly food parcels to homeless people. If you have plastic bags which need to be recycled please bring these to the church. The one condition is that the bags are clean! Operation relief uses 600 plastic bags a week for food parcels and other hand outs.
