Church Inclusive: Twenty Second Sunday After Pentecost, 29 October 2023

Dearly Beloved Franciscans

What a full and intense weekend this is!  With our Diocesan Synod, which began on Thursday afternoon and runs through to Saturday evening as well as the Rugby World Cup Finals, emotions will no doubt be running high.  You may remember that last Sunday I announced that we shall be commemorating All Saints and All Souls on Sunday, 29 October 2023.  Given that the clergy will be very stretched and tired after Synod, and wanting to give of our best to these deeply moving and important Liturgical Feast Days, we have wisely (I believe) re-scheduled All Saints and All Souls to Sunday, 05 November 2023. This means that we have additional time in which to write names on the cloth and to phone in names of those we would like mentioned in some way.
