Church Inclusive: Patronal Festival 2 October 2022

Dear Franciscans

This time is always special for us as we celebrate being named after St Francis!  He emerges across time as a figure of not only great faith and insight but also as a real person who shared the love of God with an extraordinary sense of joy and wonder at all God’s creation. This year we also celebrate that our beginning as Franciscans in Parkview started 100 years ago when Bishop Arthur laid that stone which marks the centenary of the gathering of this faith community.

Join us for our Patronal Service on Sunday.  We celebrate who we are now, where we have been and where we will continue to go, honouring the Holy simplicity we are called to embrace.   We hope to take our annual photograph after the service just before enjoying tea in the garden together. Our courtyard creeper is also at its annual celebratory best!  The latest Franciscan will be available too.
