Dearly beloved Franciscans,

Our Sunday Gospel reading has 3 well-known  words : “Ask… Seek… Knock…”  These words indicate some effort on our part, but note that these are not “… Demand….Be spoonfed… Barge in…”. There is a politeness and a patience in the original words  which we would do well to emulate across all of our relationship.
