Church Unusual 2 August 2020

My dear Franciscans

Today is the last day of July, the 126th day of lockdown.  And we are together! We are intact as a community.  We have learnt much about ourselves, our community and new ways of growing our common life together.  And we have, willy nilly, become part of the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”.  So many changes are occurring and yet we are able deal with them because our lives together are based on the foundation of God’s unbreakable love for us. For this we are most profoundly grateful to God. August is the Month of Compassion, a theme that will suffuse our liturgy, our readings, our sermons, and our prayers.  May compassion sufuse our lives. With the compassion of Christ

Paul
