Information for confirmation candidates

Hi all,

The lectionary readings for Sunday 9 August are:

Old Testament: 2 Samuel Chapter 18: verses 5-9, and 31-33

Psalm 130

New Testament: Ephesians Chapter 4: verse 25 – Chapter 5: verse 2

Gospel: John Chapter 6: verse 35 and verses 41-51.

The Collect is:

“Lord Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life,

you call us to be forgiving and kind:

strengthen us by your grace,

that in communion with you,

we may forgive one another

and live in love as you love us;

for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
